Summer programs

When the school year ends, our Clubs adjust to the needs of families and children.

Our Summer Program provides kids with an abundance of opportunities to stay active, maintain academic success and explore additional activities in sports, the arts and the outdoors. The Clubs give youths a positive place to go in the summer and provide activities that enrich lives. The summer program generally starts at the end of the Cleveland Municipal School District school year and ends when classes resume. In our Summer Program:

  • Hours of operation are earlier in the day than those for our school-year programming.  Call each club for exact hours.
  • A $10 fee covers the entire summer membership.
  • All youths who participate in the summer program are provided lunch.
  • In addition to traditional Boys & Girls Club programming, kids can also take part in many special “summer only” opportunities, including field trips; additional athletic activities, such as baseball, softball and soccer clinics involving major league sports teams and their players; and increased arts and cultural activities.
