Ways to Give

When it comes to caring for young people in our community – and to giving – one size does not fit all.

There are many ways to give a gift. When you give to Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio, your gift changes the lives of youths and families who need our support… and yours.

We understand there are many worthy nonprofits that need your attention. We hope we’ve earned your trust and that you’ll partner with us to create brighter futures for every youth who comes to the Club. Here are just a few ways you can help the young people at Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio:

Direct Donation: Give online here, or mail a check made payable to Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio to: PO Box 72090 OPC833, 295 Huntington Circle, Akron, OH 44307.

Gifts of Assets: Many donors choose to use their existing assets like stocks, IRAs or DAFs to fulfill their philanthropic goals, while also providing tax benefits. Simply provide your administrator with our Federal Tax ID: 34-1856214.

  • Donor-Advised Funds (DAF): A DAF is like a charitable investment account that is set up for the sole purpose of supporting charities. You can contribute cash, stocks, or other assets into the DAF and receive an immediate tax deduction.
  • Stock: When you donate stock held for over one year to BGCNEO, you receive a charitable tax deduction for the full fair market value.
  • IRAs and Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD): At age 70½ and older, you can give any amount (up to a maximum of $100,000) per year from your IRA directly to BGCNEO without having to pay income taxes on the money. Beginning in the year you turn 73, you can use your gift to satisfy all or part of your required minimum distribution (RMD).

We’re happy to customize your giving in a way that’s most meaningful and convenient for you.
