BGCC Quick Facts
Our mission is to inspire and enable young people who need us most to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. We serve youth ages six to 18. We have served over 7,400 in the past year. The club has been open since 1954.
BGCC provides after school and summer programs that encourage individual development and community responsibility. All programs are led by certified program staff.
BGCC currently operates five Cleveland area clubs:
Broadway
Heights Youth Club
King Kennedy
Mt. Pleasant
West Side
BGCC also operates six school-based programs, resulting from a collaborative partnership with Cleveland Metropolitan School District and charter schools:
Harvey Rice School
Charles Eliot School
Walton School
Bella Academy
Imagine Cleveland Academy
Citizens Leadership Academy
BGCC’s three areas of youth impact are:

Character and citizenship
Healthy lifestyles
Of our school-age members; 86 percent are African-American, 10 percent are Hispanic, 2 percent are Caucasian and 1 percent are of another multi-racial. 60 percent are male and 40 percent are female.
During the 2011-2012 school year, 100 percent of our regularly attending high school seniors graduated and 99.6 percent of all engaged youth were promoted to their next grade in school.
