You can help Footpath Foundation, which provides meaningful outdoor experiences for inner-city youth, by contributing camping-related items for the 70 kids the foundation will be taking to an overnight camp this summer.
Foundation co-founders Mary Macias and Sarah Tabeling are seeking items such as sleeping bags, pillows, towels and ponchos. Footpath creates bags with camp essentials for each kid. Since 90 percent of the campers live in poverty, they do not have the items needed to go on an overnight camping adventure.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland members are among those who go camping.

Footpath urges people to sign up for items, then bring them to the North Olmsted Branch of the Cuyahoga County Library, 27403 Lorain Road, from 3:30-5 p.m. Saturday, May 6. You can also bring the whole family to the event, where volunteers will sort items, fill bags and make welcome signs for the campers.
